A Too-Good-to-Be-True College Sweetheart
Hollywood star and global heart-throb Kevin Costner’s love life started with Cindy Silva, who he met at California State University, Fullerton. She was a beautiful girl who was nominated for homecoming queen and also played Snow White at Disneyland, and Costner fell for her while they studied together in 1975. Three years later, in 1978, the couple married. Costner was just 20 years old at the time.

Over a decade later, in an interview in 1989, Costner said of Silva: “She was beautiful, she was sweet, she was smarter than me. She represented everything about women that I like.” The young but happy couple had three children together: Annie, Lily, and Joe. Unfortunately, however, the wedded bliss was not to last.
